Water fun!

Whew, we have officially had our first above 90 degree day in Tucson and it definitely felt warm!  We decided it was time to venture to the Edith Ball covered pool with Hayden's friends Zach and Cassidy and we had a great time.  Hayden is so brave in the water compared to 7 months ago when we were swimming several times a week.  He is putting his face in the water, walking towards deeper water and really loves to be splashed in the face.

Today, Hayden, Zach and Cassidy swam in the beach area of the pool for over an hour.  Hayden was freezing and his little lips were turning blue, but he was having far too much fun to notice.  They chased each other, sat on top of the water fountains, ran through the waterfalls and played a bunch of random 3 year-old games that looked like snakes chasing each other around the shallow water.

I am so proud of him because last year, he wasn't as big of a fan of swimming.   He liked us to hold his hand when he was playing in the water and did not want to put his face in the water at all.  Swim classes at the YMCA start June 2nd and Hayden will be in the Pike class, which is 2 instructors with 8 kids.  There are no parents permitted in the water, which I am glad about.  I think he will learn so much more without parents of 7 other kids around.  The swim instructor at the Ott, where he will attend classes has 25 years of experience teaching kids how to swim.  I am so glad to be able to get him into this class since it's always very full (Yay for working for the YMCA!)

Here's some photos from today taken by the lovely Brianna...I forgot my camera in the car.  Enjoy!
