Party Time!

Oh wow, we had a great time last night.  We had about 30 people here and 12 of them were children ages 4 weeks-12 years!  The kids had a blast running around the house and yard and the adults relaxed and watch them play.  They definitely made quite a mess but we eventually got the house all put back together!  Our Ladybug birthday cake was delicious and the food was great too.  Matt is becoming quite the little grill master and I enjoy eating what he makes for us.  I pretty much forgot to take pictures of about 90 % of the party but these pictures give you the idea.  Lots of fun, food and mess!

Sorry for the short post today...I am packing our things for our trip on Wednesday since I have to work tomorrow to help move our classroom to our new school.  I'll post tomorrow before we leave.  Love to All!

Birthday craziness!

I had such a fun day yesterday celebrating my birthday.  Matt and Jane had to work, so I went out shopping with friends at Tucson Mall and got some cute new outfits and a new phone.  Hayden also did Build-A-Bear with his friends Zach, Cassidy and Eddie.  He chose a tiger and named it Ironman and it even has a little Ironman shirt on...so cute.  He also got to type his own name on the computer for Ironman's birth ceritificate.

After shopping, Matt and Jane took me to a new place called Monkey burger and we had the most amazing food there.  Jane and I sent the boys home for bedtime and we wandered Park Mall for a little while.

It was such a nice relaxing day to just do what I wanted and hang out with friends and family.  Today I am in major party prep mode and I need to get everything ready for our BBQ tomorrow afternoon.  I also need to start packing for our trip on Wednesday to Deuces Wild.  I love all the chaos!

Here's some pictures of bowling from Thursday and of our shopping fun yesterday.  I also have a video of Hayden making his build-a-bear but I will post that later after I put it on Youtube.  The pictures from build-a-bear came out really odd and the lady said they always do because the place is so yellow, lol.  Check out Hayden's new U of A hat...Is that not the cutest hat EVER?  They are brand new and the guy hadn't even put the kid ones out yesterday until I asked.  now he's got a new car seat, hat and friend to take on his trip.  We're all set!

Big Birthday Thanks!

Wow, thanks so much to all of you for your cards and gifts and sweet things on Facebook!  I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life to celebrate my birthday with!  Today I am going shopping with my friends Jannette, Briana, and all of our kiddos.  We are also going to Build-A-Bear because I promised Hayden the green dragon they have there.  Tonight, we are going out to dinner when Matt gets off work and Jane is also taking me shopping.  Our big party is on Sunday, so it's kind of a whole weekend full of fun!

I have pictures from bowling yesterday that I will post tonight or tomorrow with the pictures of my birthday fun.

Thanks again to everyone!!

Happy Last Day of School!!

I can't believe I am saying this, but Hayden and I have Summer break from now until August 16th!!  I am going to be working 3-4 nights a week doing the Child Watch at the Ott YMCA while people work out, but we will have our whole days filled with fun in the Arizona sun!  I don't really want to leave Hayden 3-4 nights a week but I figure that Daddy is up for the task and they will have fun together breaking the rules and staying up late until Mommy comes home!

I got a few quick pictures of Hayden with our memory tiles at the school.  They have been grouted onto the benches now and will be moved with us over to Henry.  Hayden was so excited to see that his little star tile was on the bench forever.

I also took a few photos of the artwork Hayden brought home from the past few months.  He brought home about 50 things, so I just picked a few.  He is getting so artistic and loves to draw people, flowers, animals, trucks, and the other day, lunch boxes.  He and his friend Aliyah drew pictures of every kid in the class' lunch box and they were so proud of themselves.  I love watching him be so creative and I can't believe he is writing his name, spelling out words, doing simple math problems, reading numbers and letters, and tons of other really cool stuff.  He's definitely learned a lot from Preschool just this year and I can't wait to see what he does next year.

This is a frog scene that Hayden created.  He water colored the frogs then glued them on paper and drew around them.  He says this little blue boy is Hayden and "I drew all of him but my friend Annabelle said he needed hands and she put his hands on him."  Not sure what the floating face is about though, lol!

Cute little water colored butterfly

                                                                         Love bug!

Check that name writing action out.  He writes just like his daddy!   :)
Actually, these things are called Weekly Readers.  They are like preschool newspapers and the kids get to fill things in, match pictures, etc while learning a new thing each week when they come.  I love them!

Mosquito, Bee, or dinosaur?  I'll let you decide!

Getting older!

Wow, I can't believe that in a couple of days, I will be 25.  I feel like I'm getting so old and I don't want to!  I suppose I have already achieved some really awesome things in my 25 years.  I connected with my wonderful husband who I am so blessed to have.  I have been lucky enough to be a young mother to my beautiful son who makes the sun shine each day.  I have a job that I love and makes me happy.  I have great friends who I am lucky enough to spend lots of time with.  I suppose being 25 is a good age...a good age for me with all of the wonderful things I have, so Happy Birthday to me!

We have our last day of school before Summer break tomorrow and several fun things planned to celebrate this weekend, so I'm sure I will have lots to share with you.  Love to all!

Matt is amazing at Mountain Biking

Matt will not ever tell you himself how good he is at Mountain Biking, but I sure will.  I am so impressed with him every time he puts down 20-30 miles uphill in this heat on the weekends and sometimes several times a week.  It's such a good hobby for him and I'm so proud of him.  He's going to start doing some races with friends and on his own and I know he's going to rock every single one of them.  Here's some pictures I stole off of his Facebook page to show you...that's why they are so tiny.  He promised that he will take his camera with him next weekend to capture more of himself since these were all taken by friends.  He's awesome!

Go Giants!

Wow, we have had a really great day celebrating the last day of T-ball season.  We are EXHAUSTED and Hayden is sleeping it off on the couch..he may not actually even get up for dinner at this point!  We attended our last game this morning, where the Giants did an awesome job as usual.  They have learned so much about baseball and they really need very minimal help remembering things now.  They are an awesome group of kids!

After the game, we headed to Brandi Fenton for a huge potluck, splashing, playing and of course, trophies!  We got some awesome baseball bobble-head trophies and the kiddos loved them.  The coach even surprised us with thank you plaques for all of our help...an Assistant Coach one for Matt and a Team Mom one for me.  They are so cute and I can't wait to hang them up!

After the kiddos played for a while, we got out some water balloons that were first used on each other, then quickly they all turned against us and we were all soaked.  That turned into the adults attacking each other and before long, we were all using ice chest water to chase each other with.  It was a great time and it felt so good to get wet.

The next season of T-Ball starts on Thursday so we get to do it all again!  I am off to relax after the fun, but here's LOTS of super cute stuff from today!

Water Day at school

We have been doing lots of fun warm weather activities this week at school since school is almost out.  Yesterday we had water day and the kids were able to bring squirt guns, spray bottles, cups, etc. to fill and get each other wet.  Hayden is a water play pro and was really into it.  He ran, ran, ran for the whole hour we were outside and giggled the whole time, while splashing his friends (and teachers) with water.  Once he splashed us, the other kids caught on and we ended up getting soaked.  It was really a lot of fun for all of us.  The kids also got to have a popsicle out on the grass together.  Hayden spread his towel out and invited two of his friends to share it with him.  I cropped off their faces because I forgot to ask their moms for permission to share their pictures with you, but you get the idea.

I went today and got our team packet for the summer season of T-Ball.  We have 4 kids from our current team joining us, as well as 2 new kids whose parents are both very nice and are glad we are so organized.  The team will have silver jerseys, grey pants and black socks, which should be super cute.  We are having our first practice on Thursday, so I'm sure I'll have some pictures of that next week.

Tomorrow is our huge end-of-season splash party for the Giants and the kiddos are thrilled to get to splash together at the splash pad and eat a huge potluck lunch.  It will be warm, so we may have to join the kids in the splash pad.  I will share lots of pictures from the fun after I recover tomorrow.

One more thought for today...Hayden was talking to me about my birthday that's coming up and he said, "Mommy, when it's your birthday I am going to give you 50 birthday hugs and then smash some cake in your eye!"  First of all, Buddy, I am not turning 50 and second of all, there will be no cake smashing in my house!  He's just so stinkin' cute with his little quotes.
