The kid's just getting too big!

Today, Hayden did 2 really awesome things worth mentioning.  At our "Away" T-Ball game across town, The Giants had the pleasure of playing on a proper Jr. High School baseball diamond that was made of the cool red dirt that stains baseball pants.  They also had a real dugout with a fence around it so they could shut themselves in and play.  The kids had a blast kicking around the special dirt and after the game, they all were completely covered.  I think I need some Oxy Clean before I attempt to wash that uniform!

After the game, we spent 2 1/2 hours at Edith Ball and we just swam and swam and swam.  The kid is like a fish all of the sudden.  He has NEVER in his life wanted to put his face under the water and he randomly started doing it today and blowing bubbles.  I was so proud of him for being a brave boy.  He has always been very cautious around water and I am so pleased that each of the 3 times we have been swimming this week, he has been really excited to try new things.

I am having one of those days today where I can just not believe how big Hayden is getting so quickly (he's still below 5th percentile for height but to me he is huge).  Perhaps it's due to seeing our friends' newborn yesterday or the fact that we are celebrating our 4th Mother's Day with him tomorrow, or maybe it's the 3 friends that all said today at different times, "Wow, he's like a big kid now." and "He's getting so old."  I know, I know, they all get big and old but I want to just bottle this kid up and save him right now.

Tomorrow, we will spend Mother's Day in Madera Canyon with Jane and her boyfriend, Leon. We are planning to bring a Subway picnic and attempt to find some water to splash in and hike.  I want to spend Mother's Day in total relaxation mode, so you will most likely wait to see pictures on Monday.  I love Matt and Hayden and they are the best gift a Mommy and Wife could ask for on Mother's Day!  To all of you that are Mommies like me, cherish your Mother's Day with your babies!
