for the first time ever this afternoon, Hayden had a friend ride in the car with him. We were going to his friend Cassidy's (my friend Brianna's daughter) house for dinner and her mom needed to stop on the way home so I offered to take Cassidy with me. She's 6 months older than Hayden and she is big enough for a booster seat, so it's much easier to install than a car seat like Hayden's that took 4 men at the car wash to take out of our old car (yeah, Matt is strong enough to get it that tight. It's kind of funny). I took Cassidy and we met Brianna back at her house, and Hayden had the absolute best time in the car with his friend. I could barely contain myself from laughing or crying because of the cuteness. They were chatting away like two old married people about the sky, what they have in their rooms, what we are eating for dinner, and of course who has the biggest hands. Sad to say, my little boy is growing up...but I'm just thankful to get to enjoy watching him do it. :) I managed to snap a few adorable pictures while stopped for a train. They were both being little hams. Also, I included a photo from yesterday morning of Hayden giving me a flower in front of the house. This has become a new ritual since all of our plants are in bloom. He gives me one every morning and says in his quiet little morning voice, "Here's a flower for you, Mommy." It's probably the best way ever to start my day!
We have several things coming up in the next 2 weeks and I'm very excited. This Saturday is our end of season T-Ball party, Wednesday is the last day of school, next Friday is my birthday (25!) and Sunday we are having a bbq. Then on June 2nd we leave for Deuces Wild Triathlon for 5 days. It is going to be lots of fun for everyone. Wish you all in England could come over to hang out with us! Much love to all!
