Hayden's Rockin' T-Ball Cleats!

I have been really resistant to spending $40 on cleats for T-Ball that Hayden in no way needs at his age, but this week he has really worn out his athletic shoes that he has used for soccer and our first season of T-Ball.  I thought I would look around for some used cleats to replace his sneakers since I would have to buy new shoes either way (he has 6 pairs of sandals for summer and doesn't otherwise need new sneakers.)  We looked at a few places and read some semi-creepy Craig's List posts before I stumbled upon the fact that a used clothing store in town sells gently used cleats for toddlers.  I found Hayden the perfect pair of Fila cleats today and they are slightly big since they are size 9 and he's currently wearing 8's.  Yep, he's got tiny feet, lol.  He absolutely LOVES his cleats and I was so happy to find a very reasonable price.  Really, no 3 year-old needs $40 cleats, that's craziness, even for me.

Also, I signed Hayden up for Summer T-Ball with 4 of his friends from his current team and the same coach, with Matt as an assistant.  Yes, I realize it will be warm out but we figure we can do some creative cooling off games with water balloons while running the bases and spray bottles at the games.  Hayden really wanted to play again and he loves T-Ball so much that I thought, why not, the kids don't care that it's hot, it's the wussy adults!

We had a nice time today with our friend's and their 2 week old baby.  We brought some dinner and dessert over and Jane held him for a long time.  We also attended a birthday party at Pump It Up this morning, which of course Mr. Hayden thought was super cool.  The kiddos had a lot of fun together.  I'm off to get the little man ready for bed but I will post some pictures of today in the next couple of days and I'll get one of Hayden in his cleats too.

I also have a picture of Hayden looking stylish in the grocery cart this morning with his sunglasses on.  We snuck out at 6am to go grocery shopping together.  It was like a secret Mommy/Son Sunday morning adventure and we had a blast being silly together while shopping.  Hayden is loving the grocery store scales and can read the numbers on the scale now.  Maybe I should hand him the car keys and a list and send him off to the store on his own next week!    :)
