Yesterday afternoon after Hayden's
Three Hour Post-Soccer Game nap, we got a very special delivery. Hayden got a birthday parcel from England from Grandad and Grandma! He very carefully opened his package and read his awesome Thomas card first. The card came with a special button to wear on his birthday that says "Busy Being 3!" and he thought that was really cool. After his card, he discovered some wrapped gifts and his face lit-up as he opened them...Thomas Trains! These aren't the plastic/wood ones they sell here...these are real die cast metal Thomas Trains and he loves them! We immediately went to his room and played for an hour with them. Thanks Grandad and Grandma!
Today we went to the Reid Park Zoo with Hayden's good pal Amelia and they had a great time as usual. I love watching them interact with each other. They are both really verbal for their age and it is so good to see him have a friend on his level. Those two could care less that anyone else is around. They just chat away for hours about the animals, the weather and whatever else they come up with. They went through the whole zoo holding hands like little old people. These pictures are adorable!
We are in full swing for his birthday and just have 3 more days to go!! Thursday's trip to the Phoenix Zoo is going to be a great time for all of us :)
