Creation Fun

Hayden is really into anything he can do with his hands...paint, play-doh, moon sand, etc.  I have always provided these materials for him to use anytime he wants, starting when he was a baby.  Yes, even at 6 months old, he knew what Play-Doh and paint felt like.  I always want him to feel like anytime he wants, he can dive right into a project and get messy.  I am willing to spend an hour cleaning up the mess if he enjoys what he makes.  Matt and I always jump in the fun and we have had more than one family paint fight, which always ends in an outside hose-off session!  Hayden got a Play-Doh kitchen from a family friend for his birthday and his good pal Amelia gave him a new Moon Sand set at his party.  He LOVES both of these things and we have spent hours with them already.  It's so funny how you can have Moon Sand and Play-Doh with cookie cutters in the house forever but when you add little things like frying pans and brick-makers, the materials turn into so much more.  I am definitely going to be getting more sets to add to these very soon.   Our house is living proof that kids do not need to spend hours and hours watching TV and movies just to stay entertained.  We have all the entertainment we need right here!!
