Coming down off the birthday craziness!

Wow, I am so glad we have come to the end of our crazy weekend.  Really it's been non-stop craziness since Christmas and I'm sure it will always be like that with his birthday falling where it does, so I better get used to it.  I am so grateful to all of our family and friends who came out to his party yesterday and I can't begin to explain how fun it was to watch Hayden surrounded by so many people who love him as much as we do.  He's one lucky little dude and he knows it.  When I was putting him to bed last night he said "thank you for my fun party Mommy. I'm lucky because I have so many friends to play with".  It made my heart melt because he may have tons of toys and things, but he really is grateful so many people were there to celebrate with him.  This kid is very wise and it is clear to us every day that he is an old soul...probably his Grandpa Bill had something to do with that  :)   I am excited now more than ever that he is three years old because it is so much fun to watch him interact and enjoy everything life has to offer.  He is so kind and happy and I know he is turning out to be one awesome little kid.  It feels good to know that we are doing the right things raising him and it shows over the past 3 years.  I think that's all I really had for now. Just typical Mommy bragging, lol.  Today is a Mommy and Hayden day and we are planning to lounge around for a while and after nap today maybe go to the park to play before Matt gets off work and we have soccer practice.  Thanks to all of you for your kind birthday wishes for our sweet boy and we can't wait to see everyone again soon!!
