Soccer practice and Christmas at Hayden's school

We have had a busy 2 days around here with soccer and cookie making and Christmas at Hayden's school.  Soccer yesterday was really fun, except for the super competitive dad that just couldn't help himself from "assisting" Matt (By assisting I mean being WAY too agressive and yelling at the kids!)  Matt is going to tell him Monday to back off so hopefully he takes the hint.  The kids had a blast running around with Matt, doing silly stretches and passing the ball.  Hayden is already excited to go again Monday.

After practice yesterday, we made some dairy-free sugar cookies for Hayden's Christmas party.  He had a great time mixing the ingredients and rolling out the dough.  His favorite cookie cutter was the candy cane one, which is no surprise because he is in love with candy canes right now.  I am so glad he loves them because it's a seasonal candy he is allowed to have...yay!  I apologize for the lack of pics of the cookies as I was covered from head to toe in flour and didn't even think of taking pictures at the time.

Tonight was Hayden's Christmas party at school.  The kids got to play in the classrooms while the parents talked and then every child got to sit with Santa for pictures.  Hayden wasn't the slightest bit afraid and even got his sweet little friend Isabella to be confident enough to sit with Santa.  After Santa, we went outside to the patio for tons of treats, juice, coffee and more chatting.  One of my favorite things about this school is that there are about 25 little picnic tables for the kids so every child in the school could sit together if they wanted.  Obviously they never would, but it's still nice that they have the option.

One last thing...Hayden can clearly write the letter "H"!  I have been showing him for a while and he picked up the crayon this afternoon and wrote it clear as day.  I am amazed at this kid...I have 4 year olds in my class that can't even begin to write a letter.  Go Hayden!

We have a busy weekend with a playdate, birthday party and lots of family time ahead of us, so expect pictures.  Love to all!!  :)
