Today was the first day of soccer practice, and man was it cold out! We almost called it off due to the impending rain storm but we all decided to at least practice for a few minutes since the kids were so excited. All 7 of the kids could have cared less that it was 40 degrees, windy and about to rain. Matt introduced himself to the parents and then let the kids kick the soccer ball to him and raced around with him for a while. Hayden is 4 months younger than the next youngest kid and it didn't matter at all. He is very fast and had no problem keeping up. Those tiny little legs of his are quick! I was too cold to go to the car for my camera, so I promise I will take double the pictures at practice on Wednesday. Hayden has also chosen a new little girlfriend to play with at practice who seems just as interested in playing with him, a 3 1/2 year-old little girl named Cassidy. He keeps asking if he can play soccer with Cassidy again tomorrow. It cracks me up that he is a little ladies man already...maybe that's because the first shirt he ever wore in the NICU was a red onesie with the words "ladies man" on it. Woops, we're in for it with this one in high school!
We are supposed to see a very slight chance of snow tonight, and if we do I will take some pictures. Otherwise, there will be plently of soccer pics Wednesday night!
