Weekend Fun

We have been very lucky to have such an awesome weekend and I do not want it to end.  Yesterday we went on two playdates and Hayden had a great time, as did we.  First, we went with Amelia and her parents to an event called Story Town.  They had little plays, art projects, free books, games and bubbles and the kids had a wonderful time.  Next, we went to the zoo with our friends Alison and Alex.  I didn't know it was the annual "Free Day" since we are members and oh man, it was BUSY.  The animals didn't seem to mind the activity and we got to see several of them up close.  Again, Hayden had a great time with his friend and the weather was beautiful.

Today has been much more relaxing than yesterday.  We got up and had egg bagel sandwiches made by Matt and caught up on laundry.  Then, Hayden decided he wanted to play "Capture The Pillow".  This game is a lot of fun and I think everyone should try it.  Basically, someone grabs the pillow, runs through the house and hides.  Everyone searches the house to find the "Pillow Person" and we all scream and yell when the person is found.  Then someone else grabs the pillow and it all starts over again.  It's probably a lot more boring the way I explained it, but trust me, we have a blast everytime and it's actually a great workout.  We played for almost two hours this morning.  After Hayden had a little nap, we made awesome Dairy-Free cookies.  I was nervous how the soy butter would cook since it required so much for this particular recipe, but they are actually very yummy and Hayden is proud of his work.  We are having Hayden's friend David over for a playdate this afternoon so I'm sure the fun will continue.

Here's pictures from yesterday's adventures.  I haven't even thought to pick up the camera today, so oh well.  We are going to have a VERY busy week this week because Matt is busy at work, I have several new kids starting, and I am babysitting a little extra time to help the twins' mom out.  Next Saturday is our last Movers and Shakers class (we won't be doing it again since soccer will be far more interesting) and we are helping out at an Aid Station for El Tour de Tucson. Sunday is our Ikea shopping frenzy and we are working at an Aid Station for TriSports at Ironman AZ.  I am so excited for this event every November because the events TriSports runs are extremely kid-friendly and it makes a great time for everyone.  Hayden always has several kids to play with everywhere we go with TriSports.  It should be exhausting as usual, but a good exhaustion.  I hope everyone has a wonderful week and is enjoying your weather as much as we are!
