This morning, Hayden spotted a scarecrow with MeeMaw and wanted to know everything about it. Meemaw told him what they do and why farmers have them and Hayden asked, "Can I make a scarecrow?"
OF COURSE!
I love how creative Hayden is and he always wants to expore things by making them himself. If this kid wants to built a rocket to the moon or build his own treehouse, my answer will always be YES! I am a huge believer in allowing kids to learn by making things and I will always support any idea Hayden has.
I was babysitting my little twin friends an extra day today, so I missed the Scarecrow making fun, but you bet as soon as I got home I got some cute pictures of Hayden with it in his PJs. MeeMaw and Matt even pulled out a hoodie and pants from when Hayden was a baby to use as real clothing. They did an awesome job! Wednesday we are making friendly ghosts out of corn starch and balloons and friday we are making paper plate pumpkins. It's so fun to decorate the house with homemade Halloween goodies!
I am thrilled because it is 6 Days until our pumpkin patch trip to Apple Annies. We are going with a huge group of close friends and family and are going to do all of the fun activities including pumpkin picking, the corn maze, the tractor ride and apple picking. I'll post pics of our other decoration projects this week.
