The zoo and a little more Weekend

I don't know if I say it enough on here, but Hayden and his MeeMaw are kindred spirits.  They have an amazing connection that can't be denied and they really are best friends.  I am reminded of this every day when I see them interact.  They are both so lucky to have each other and I am so grateful he has her.  Today at the zoo, they were in their own little world.  They fed giraffes, had Icee drinks and climbed just about anything they could find.

Check out Hayden's race shirt from this weekend.  They had them made for the kiddos and his fits perfectly.  In going with the theme of a "Zero Impact" event, the shirts were made of 100% recycled polyester (2 liter bottles), the medals were recycled bike chins, and everything was either composted or recycled.  There was literally no trash.  It's a pretty cool initiative and I was so glad to help be a part of it.

Also, these pictures of Matt on the ATV were taken Sunday during the X-Terra race by his friend Zach.  He's riding this ATV across the spillway that runners had to swim through to get to the finish line.  That's X-Terra, difficult, wet and slightly dangerous!
