So Lucky...

Do you ever have one of those days where you think, "We are just really lucky people"? Today was one of those days for us. We had a great time just hanging out with friends at our house this morning and then went out to play golf with Hayden's friend M and his parents. It wasn't so much the activities that made me feel so lucky, but it's just that we are blessed to have our son. He is so intelligent, sweet, gentle and just loves life. We may not make a lot of money or drive fancy cars or own our own home, but we are lucky...just lucky to have each other and to have the memories we make every day. Maybe the fancy cars and our own house and tons of money will come later in life...maybe not...That's not what defines us as a family. We care for each other, Meemaw included(we wouldn't be nearly as well settled as a young family without her help). I could care less if we have to adapt our lifestyle to accomidate Hayden's dairy allergy or if we have the occasional toddler meltdown. It just doesn't matter. We are rich in love and happiness and at the end of a day like today, nothing else even crosses my mind.
