Well, we have been talking for a while about getting Hayden a Beta fish. They are very low-maintenance and we wanted something he could help take care of in addition to Buster. We went to Petco today and got an adorable blue beta, who Hayden lovingly named "Dinoco" (It's from the movie Cars). He picked out some pretty blue rocks and a little decorative statue of a guy riding a dirt bike (of course)! We brought our little guy home and Hayden helped set up his bowl and fed him his first meal at home! Last night, before bed, he even wanted to give his fish a kiss, so I had to talk him into settling for kissing the bowl. First thing this morning, he said, "I want to go see Dinoco!" I think we made a good choice to get him a little friend. He's so sweet and nurturing! Here's some adorable pics of Hayden picking him out and setting up.
