Getting ready for Valentine's Day

Hayden is very excited that this Sunday is Valentines Day. He has been hearing about it from both home and school and he thinks it is very cool...he even has a date for the evening...MeeMaw! We are having a Valentine card exchange and pizza party on Friday and this weekend we went and bought the cards at Target. He chose Transformer cards for the boys and Princess for the girls. I actually didn't help him decide at all...he went to the shelf and decided all on his own, which I love. The cards also come with a really cool pencil to attach to each one which I like so much more than giving candy. Hayden wrote the H and A on the cards and I filled in the rest. I give him another month or two and he will be writing his whole name. Yep, he's really ahead on that which is fine with me! Anyway...I digress. On Valentine's Day itself, we have yet another birthday party to attend in the early afternoon and afterwards we are leaving Hayden with MeeMaw and going to dinner AND a movie. Hayden and MeeMaw are going to dinner themselves and then heading to Blockbuster to rent movies and have a pajama party. I know Hayden and Matt have some sort of Valentine's gift in the works because last week Hayden told me, "Mommy, Daddy and I are getting you a special Valentine's gift but it's a secret so we can't tell you!" It was really cute and I have made sure not to mention it since so he doesn't give away what it is. I am going to do a Valentine's goody bag of all kinds of cool stuff for Hayden to enjoy that day as a gift from us and Matt's present is a secret just in case he decides to read this! It will be a fun weekend for us for sure.

Tomorrow Hayden and I are heading straight to the zoo after school to check out the baby zebra. If we see him, I'll post some pictures! Love to everyone!
